My deepest gratitude to each of these listed students and all of my students who continue to teach and inspire me everyday. I intend to make more pages of prenatal and young people/girl scout/boy scout testimonials as well.
"I feel ready for the challenge of yoga. When I began yoga at the beginning of this semester,
I had no idea what I was getting myself into but was quite curious. I have enjoyed every
aspect of this course and have not felt impatient with any of the moves that I have
learned over the past eight weeks. Now speaking in past terms, I have always looked
forward to the Tuesday/Thursday mornings where I was able to let go of my current
problems and be in my own zone. This helped me shed off a lot of stress and allowed
me to also realize that every thing that I want to do in life will come and will happen
one step at a time and that there is no need to rush through things. Yoga has made me
feel so relaxed and content with myself. It has encouraged me to take up this as a hobby
after I graduate from OWU. I don't think I will feel as complete as I did this semester
if I do not take up yoga after I am done here....therefore I am looking for a yoga place
in DC where I would love to learn many different types of yoga.
Thank you very much for all of your instructions and all of your soothing techniques."

"Through practicing Yoga these past several weeks I have noticed a difference
in many aspects of my life. I have had back and knee problems in the past, but
they seem to have improved recently. I attribute this largely to the change in
my posture (lifting my chest and keeping my back straight with shoulders down)
and some of the Yin Yoga poses, which helped with my flexibility and range of
motion. Overall, I am much more relaxed and looser than I used to be. I have
even done a few of the Sun Salutes in my free time outside of class to start
the day. It has been physically as well as mentally therapeutic for me. Even
something as simple as learning breathing techniques has had tremendous effects.
Before class my outlook on Yoga was what one would expect from an ‘outsider’.
I thought it was sort of silly, to be honest. But after giving it a serious shot
and seeing the benefits first hand, my attitude has changed. I have a new respect
for those who can perform some of the difficult poses I was not able to, and also
a new respect for the practice as a whole. It is amazing how the benefits of Yoga
reach into and affect so many other areas of your life, whether it be to improve
sports performance, heal an injury, or simply better your mood. I will definitely
continue to learn and practice when the module comes to an end, as it has already
changed my life for the better." Tim
"I really like practicing yoga. It makes me feel strong and flexible.
It relaxes me and helps me relieve stress from all my schoolwork.
It helps me clear out my head and I can focus for hours after I practice yoga,
and I don’t have to take my Ritalin on days when I have yoga. It also helps me
relax when I have trouble sleeping before bed, having more of an effect on me
than Melatonin has. I will definitely continue practicing and I think it helps
me stay engaged with activities since I’ve been more withdrawn from things
since a friend committed suicide." L
